Single Tyre Replacement
A single tyre replacement — including removing the old tyre, fitting the new one, balancing, and inflating to the correct pressure — typically takes 20–30 minutes from the technician's arrival. This can vary slightly based on the vehicle type, tyre size, and any complications such as a corroded wheel nut.
For a full set of four tyres, expect the job to take 60–90 minutes. Our technicians work methodically but efficiently, and will always take the time to do the job correctly rather than rushing.
Puncture Repairs
A proper puncture repair (removing the tyre, cleaning and buffing the puncture site, applying a plug-patch from inside) takes around 30–45 minutes. The additional time compared to a straightforward tyre swap is due to the need to fully remove and inspect the tyre internally.
If it turns out the tyre cannot be repaired and needs replacing, the process may take slightly longer as the technician will need to source the correct tyre from the van stock.
What Affects the Time?
Several factors can affect how long a mobile tyre fitting job takes: the number of tyres being worked on, access to the vehicle (basement car park vs open driveway), whether locking wheel nuts are involved, the size and type of tyre, and any additional services like wheel balancing.
Our technicians will always give you a realistic estimate when you call to book. Most standard mobile tyre jobs are completed well within an hour — meaning minimal disruption to your day.
